International Law Enforcement Intellectual Property Crime Conference

Madrid, Spain
20 - 22 September 2011

The fifth International Law Enforcement Intellectual Property Crime Conference will be organised this year in Madrid from 20 till 22 September.

This year Europol is co-hosting this important event together with Interpol and the Spanish National Police.

The main theme from this year's conference will be:

Transforming regional success into global action.

This conference is one of the most important events in the field of intellectual property crime. Last year in Hong Kong more than 500 participants, representing more then 50 countries, shared experiences and enlarged their network.

The co-hosting by Europol of the conference together with Interpol highlights the importance to cooperate and strengthen the fight against organised crime groups involved in the fake trade.

In the area of intellectual property rights infringements, Interpol and Europol have already been working closely together for quite some years now, organising joint training, operations, and more.
