For 2011 Conference being organized at the ABB GISL Campus at Bangalore during July 6-8, 2011, a sectoral focus has been added in order to better address the opportunities, risks and issues under the broad Conference theme in order to have more effective and practical understanding of the same. For this year, the two sectors in focus are Healthcare and Sustainable Technologies, both of which present huge opportunities and challenges with respect to intellectual property rights generation, protection and enforcement.
This Conference is a first of its kind in India where IP is being treated similar to a research subject, and paper presentations and posters have been invited from professionals to share their studies. These papers will highlight how technology, business, law and IPR mesh together for an effective interplay that provides a strategic edge to organizations.
It is a sincere endeavour of the organizers that the deliberations would lead to:
- Knowledge-sharing on different approaches and aspects of IPR for these growing sectors, and
- Highlighting issues related to the linkages between technology, business, law and IPR, among different stake-holders.
